Job summary

Allied Universal in Baytown, TX is seeking a part-time Security Officer to protect facilities and support visitor and employee screening. The role emphasizes customer service, access control, and calm response to incidents at a utilities location.

The position offers a flexible schedule with DayTime and Night shifts, and a pay rate of $14.00 per hour. A valid driver’s license is required, with a Guard Card preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license in the job state.
• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct individuals according to established site procedures.
• Control entry and exit of vehicles and personnel at designated gates, inspect documentation as required, and report access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report security-related concerns and help to deter unauthorized activity.
