Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Knowledge of degree programs, course scheduling, and admissions processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
• Ability to learn student information management systems (Colleague, Slate).
• Ability to prioritize tasks and organize an efficient workflow.
• Ability to communicate with faculty and students on advising matters.
• Exposure to confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the course registration process at Southeastern Seminary and Judson College.
• Advise students on academic plans, degree planning, course selection, and degree changes.
• Coach students on study habits, time management, and goal setting for academic success.
• Help students meet graduation requirements within expected timeframes and prepare for future goals.
• Provide academic information to faculty, students, and other offices as requested.
• Serve as contact for general emails and phone calls; keep records of interactions.
• Connect students with resources (Writing Center, Library) as needed.
