Job summary

Southeastern is seeking a part-time Academic Advisor in Wake Forest, NC to assist the Academic Advising Team and Coordinator. You will help students with degree planning, course selection, and success coaching, while maintaining records and connecting students to campus resources.

The role offers up to 29 hours per week with potential evening or Saturday hours. Prior experience in higher education and familiarity with student information systems are a plus.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
• Ability to learn student information management systems (Colleague, Slate).
• Preferably completed a degree at Southeastern or have been a student there for at least two years.

Responsibilities

• Assist in course registration processes.
• Advise on academic plans, degree planning, and course selection.
• Coach students on study habits, time management and goal setting.
• Maintain records of student interactions and connect students with resources.
