Austin Community College seeks an hourly Librarian to provide reference services to ACC students, faculty and staff across in-person, phone, email and library chat.

The position involves collaborating with campus library staff, maintaining records and statistics, supporting information literacy, and assisting with special projects. Work is up to 19 hours weekly at $28.70 per hour; a Master's in Library Science is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution.
• Experience providing reference services in an academic library setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide ACC Campus Library Services reference services to ACC students, faculty and staff via in person, phone, email and library chat.
• Maintain records and statistical data; assist with collection maintenance, bibliographies, information literacy support and special projects.
• Participate in record-keeping practices including reference desk software and reporting of student learning outcomes.
