Job summary

Butterfly Effects in San Jose, CA, is seeking a part-time Child Interventionist to support children with autism through ABA-based plans. This role offers after-school hours (3pm-7pm) 3–5 days per week and opportunities for growth toward RBT/BCBA with company support.

Qualifications

• RBT certification is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A genuine love for working with children.
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with children and families.
• Prior experience with children is advantageous.
• Interest in ongoing development.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must pass a company background check.

Responsibilities

• Implements individualized treatment plans under the direction of a BCBA.
• Observes, records, and reports on client's progress, as well as the condition and behavior of the client daily.
• Manages challenging behaviors.
• Applies behavioral principles consistently in all interactions with clients.
• Assists clients, as needed, to acquire academic and/or appropriate life skills.
• Communicates in a professional and respectful manner with parents, behavior analysts/consultants, trainers, and clients.
• Functions as an active member of the treatment team.
• Completes daily paperwork and data collection notes in a detailed, accurate, consistent, and timely manner through our online database.
• Actively participates in continuous training programs designed to increase overall skills.
• Maintains confidentiality of client information.Follows BE policies and procedures.
