Job summary

Achievement Behavior Services is seeking compassionate and dependable ABA Behavior Technicians (BTs) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This is a part-time, in-person position offering after-school and weekend schedules across Nassau County.

You will work in clients’ homes and community settings, with training and supervision from a BCBA and the chance to pursue the RBT credential while

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or adolescents.
• Experience supporting individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities.
• Education or coursework in applied behavior analysis, psychology, special education, education, social work, or a related field.
• Registered Behavior Technician certification is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and rapport-building skills.
• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and adaptable.
• Ability to travel consistently to the selected client’s location.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy in accordance with the client’s individualized treatment plan.
• Implement behavior intervention strategies under the supervision of a BCBA.
• Support the development of communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills.
• Use appropriate reinforcement and behavioral redirection techniques.
• Collect accurate data during each session.
• Complete timely and detailed session notes.
• Recognize and document changes in client behavior and progress.
• Communicate professionally with clients, caregivers, supervisors, and coworkers.
• Seek clinical guidance from the supervising BCBA when support is needed.
• Maintain a consistent weekly schedule and arrive punctually for sessions.
