Job summary

The Groden Center in Providence, RI is seeking a Part Time ABA Behavior Tech to support children with autism in home and center settings. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00PM–7:30PM, about 9–18 hours/week. Pay: $24/hour with a $500 sign-on bonus (pro-rated for part-time).

Training and ongoing supervision are provided in a supportive team. You will help teach communication, play and life skills, follow individualized plans, document progress, and collaborate with families and professionals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months of supervised experience with autism/developmental disabilities.
  • Must be at least 19 years old.
  • Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Ability to document and use basic computer skills.
  • CPR/First Aid training or certification encouraged

Responsibilities

  • Help teach communication, play, and life skills to children with autism.
  • Follow individualized plans and safety procedures.
  • Document progress and collaborate with supervisors.
  • Engage families and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team

Part Time ABA Behavior Tech

Part Time Providence, RI, US

Schedule: Monday-Friday; Flexible days, evenings and weekends mainly between hours of 3:00PM - 7:30PM for about 3 - 4 1/2 hours per day (between 9-18 hours per week)

Rate of Pay:$24 per hour

Education, Experience and Skills Needed:

  • Minimum of 6 months of supervised experience required working with individuals who have autism and developmental disabilities; 2 years preferred
  • Minimum of Associate's degree in human services or related field; or currently in school in related field
  • Must be at least 19 years old
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak in English proficiently
  • Ability to speak, see & hear clearly/audibly, as well as write legibly for documentation
  • Basic computer skills
  • Professional and respectful communication skills with clients and their families or other parties
  • Ability to intervene with clients when needed to implement behavioral inventions including physical restraint, lifting and transporting in personal vehicle
  • Ability to sit, stand, lift up to 50 pounds, walk, bend, reach and/or move regularly
  • Valid driver's license for at least 3 years, with a registered and insured vehicle
  • CPR/First Aid Certification (We provide training if needed)
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification is a plus!
