Job summary

ABA Centers of Rhode Island is hiring full-time Behavior Technicians (BT) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) in Providence, RI. Join a fast-growing ABA provider delivering therapy in homes, schools, and clinics, with paid training, mentorship, and clear pathways to advancement.

Starting pay includes $23.50/hr for RBT and $21.25/hr for BT, with final compensation based on experience. Referral bonuses of $500 (RBT) and $5,000 (BCBA) are offered.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Availability Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–7:00 PM with potential Saturdays.
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver ABA therapy in homes, schools, clinics, or other venues as needed.
  • Teach communication, social, and daily living skills under BCBA supervision.
  • Track session data accurately and communicate with BCBAs, families, and team.
  • Assist with administrative and clinical tasks as needed.

Requirements
What We're Looking For
Required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Availability during mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review
Preferred
  • Experience in childcare, education, or related fields
  • Experience working with children or adolescents
  • Prior exposure to ABA services
Position-Specific Items
  • Behavior Technician (BT): Complete a 40-hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate of pay), followed by precepting (hands-on supervision), and pass the RBT exam within 45 days (up to 3 weeks total)
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (hands-on supervision) (up to 2 weeks total)
  • Training availability (BT / RBT): Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
