Job summary

University of Georgia Extension is seeking a part-time Extension Program Assistant I to support 4-H youth education programs in the Atlanta area. The role involves delivering classroom activities, coordinating events, and assisting with community service projects under supervision.

The position requires a high school diploma, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Some travel and evenings/weekends are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience leading youth programs in different environments preferred.
• Strong organizational and office skills.
• Ability to use independent judgment with confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-school 4-H meetings and deliver prepared curriculum that meets state guidelines.
• Plan ahead and coordinate programs with staff.
• Assist 4-Hers in preparation for events and competitions.
• Transport youth to district and state events and provide leadership.
• Develop school break activities for all youth ages.
• Coordinate event details and budgets with staff.
