JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Extension is looking to hire part-time kitchen staff to provide food service for 4-H camp locations during camp week. Camp cooks will be responsible for planning menus, ordering supplies, cooking and meal preparation, cleaning work areas, and serving camp meals.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Demonstrated human relations skills, especially working with youth and adults
  • Be prompt and on time for the preparation and serving of each meal
  • Demonstrated communication and teamwork skills
  • Must be able to learn and do tasks as assigned
  • Must be able to carry equipment and supplies, with or without accommodation

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. These positions require the following 3 publicly available clearances to work with youth:

  • PA State Police Criminal Background Check
  • PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form
  • FBI Criminal BackgroundCheck
