Job summary

The University of Georgia in Athens, GA is seeking a part-time 4-H Program Assistant (16 hrs/week) for the NE District. You will assist county extension agents with day-to-day 4-H and agricultural activities, answer calls, and help implement programs across multiple events.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma; strong organizational skills and discretion with confidential information are essential. Driving is required; starting date around late August 2026.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and other soft-skills, working knowledge of office practices and procedures.
• Ability to use independent judgment and discretion with confidential information.
• Works with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Facilitating in the County 4-H Program.
• Transport or arrange for transportation of 4-H’ers to various district and state level events and if assigned, provide leadership for youth while attending these events.
• Incorporate the results of program evaluations and feedback in planning future programs and techniques used in implementing programs.
