Newton-Wellesley Hospital seeks a highly autonomous Nurse Practitioner to join the Inpatient Palliative Care team, providing symptom management, care coordination, and consults under medical supervision.

The role is 20 hours per week (two 10-hour shifts on Mondays and Tuesdays, 8:00am–6:00pm) with a focus on complex patient needs, family support, and collaboration with physicians and staff. Mass General Brigham affiliation supports evidence-based practice and professional development.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing is required for this role.
• Nurse Practitioner certification in the applicant’s state is required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred and supported by experience.

Responsibilities

• Practices under medical supervision of the OHS Medical Director and designated physicians.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate treatment per guidelines.
• Documents consultations and prescriptions per established protocols.
• Collaborates with nursing staff and other departments to ensure high-quality care.
• Provides in-person patient care and coordinates with staff for return-to-work planning.
