Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a part-time Board Certified or Board Eligible Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physician to join the Palliative Care team at Newton-Wellesley Hospital, a community teaching hospital affiliated with Mass General Brigham.

This role provides inpatient palliative care consultations, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to improve quality of life for patients and families facing serious illness, with a flexible schedule and no traditional call.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician required or eligible.
• Part-time position with inpatient consultation focus.
• Experience in interdisciplinary teams preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient palliative care consultation services to patients with serious illnesses.
• Collaborate with hospitalists, specialists, nurses, social workers, chaplains, and care coordinators to deliver patient-centered care.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and growth of palliative care services.
• Maintain a collaborative practice environment and flexible schedule with no traditional call schedule.
