Job summary

Pacific Learning Academy in Sammamish and Issaquah is hiring part-time Math and Science Tutors to provide 1-on-1 instruction for middle and high school students. Start mid-August with additional dates through September; hours depend on subject load and availability.

Candidates should indicate all subjects they can teach; 4-year degree preferred but not required; experience with AP Calculus, physics, chemistry, and biology is valued. In-person or Zoom options available.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree minimum in any subject.
• Ability to tutor multiple subjects is a plus.
• Excellent English language skills (verbal and written).
• Reliable transportation for in-person tutoring in Sammamish/Issaquah areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1-on-1 tutoring for middle and high school students.
• Cover subjects in math and science, with emphasis on AP Calculus, physics, chemistry and biology.
• Maintain a consistent schedule with families and adapt lessons to student needs.
