Job summary

Regional Achievement Academy in New Jersey is seeking a Part-Time Paraprofessional (Instructional Assistant) to support a student 1:1 and help implement components of a Behavior Intervention Plan. Under supervision of the classroom teacher, you will assist with classroom tasks, reinforce lessons, help with transitions and daily routines, and monitor safety.

A high school diploma is required; 60 college credits or Praxis Parapro are preferred; strong organizational, computer, and communication

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 60+ college credits or proof of Praxis Parapro is preferred.
• Preferred experience with children in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist student 1:1 with daily activities and routines.
• Support teacher in reinforcing material and classroom goals.
• Help with transitions between classes and activities.
• Maintain attendance, appearance, punctuality, and professional relations with students.
