Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health Inc. seeks an Instructional Paraprofessional to support students in a dynamic educational setting under NJDOE guidelines.

You will supervise students, assist with crisis intervention, implement instructional and behavioral plans, substitute for absent staff when endorsed, and help plan activities while collecting progress data. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education, social work, psychology or related field.
• Minimum of six months experience working with children in a group setting.
• NJDOE Criminal History Review.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and Google Suite.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students and support classroom activities.
• Assist with crisis intervention including hands-on techniques and conflict resolution.
• Assist with implementation of instructional program and behavioral intervention plans.
• Substitute for absent staff when NJDOE endorsement is current.
• Plan and implement extra-curricular activities.
• Collect data related to student progress and prepare basic reports.
