This position supports statewide case activity by monitoring reentrants, reviewing information, and coordinating important actions under the Interstate Compact for Adult Offender Supervision. The role focuses on organizing case details, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring proper communication with other states. As a Parole Staff Technician 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Case Monitoring:Review supervision activity, progress reports, and case details for accuracy and compliance
- Record Management:Update electronic records, verify information, and keep systems aligned across agencies
- Interstate Coordination:Communicate with other states to manage case actions, verify details, and support supervision decisions
- Compliance Review:Evaluate case materials to determine closure eligibility and resolve issues that affect supervision
- Investigative Support:Use available tools to research criminal activity, verify information, and support case determinations
- Communication Assistance:Provide guidance and information to staff, agencies, and others involved in case decisions

Work Schedule and Additional Information
- Full‑time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:45 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45‑minute lunch.
- Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part‑time up to 3 days per week, after sufficient training. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high‑speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. - Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $53,008.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements
- One year as a Parole Staff Technician 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Four years of clerical experience that included one year in the interpretation and analysis of sentences and case information of criminal offenders; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that included one year in the interpretation and analysis of sentences and case information of criminal offenders.
Special Requirement
- You must obtain Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) certification within three months of employment and maintain this certification for the duration of employment in this job.
Other Requirements
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
