Job Title: Manager, Business Operations

Weekly Hours: Full-Time, 40 hours/week

Supervised by: Director, Practice Operations

Position Overview:

Responsible for the day-to-day operations across current and future Parkside OB-GYN locations, including management and oversight of all non-Provider and non-clinical team members, which may include, but is not limited to: team leads, coordinators, front desk team, administrative team, referrals team, surgery scheduling team, and others. Supervises and provides leadership and direction for Parkside OB-GYN while promoting teamwork among all team members, the provision of consistent quality care to all patients, and delivery of the overall patient experience. Position requires strong management and leadership skills with the ability to prioritize, plan, and problem solve. Organization, flexibility, enthusiasm, critical thinking skills, a proactive approach, a team-oriented mindset, and excellent communication skills will be especially important as you organize Parkside OB-GYN operations and manage our amazing team. The Business Operations Manager collaborates closely with practice leadership to support departmental goals, drive operational excellence, and ensure adherence to organizational standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the structure, workflow, and daily execution of non-clinical operations to ensure patients, families, and internal team members receive consistent, high-quality service aligned with Parkside’s Core Values.
  • Provide active daily leadership, direction, and support to business operations team members.
  • Lead and oversee business operations team including hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and staff development.
  • Foster a transparent, collaborative, and supportive work environment by championing Parkside’s Core Values.
  • Develop staffing plans and maintain appropriate coverage. When appropriate, partner with team leads and coordinators to support staffing schedules, coverage planning, hiring/firing recommendations, performance reviews, and other personnel issues.
  • Provide operational coverage within business operations departments during periods of increased volume, staffing shortages, or special projects.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for electronic medical records workflows related to scheduling, registration, document management, patient communications, task management, and front and back-office operations.
  • Monitor operational workflows and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, service delivery, patient satisfaction, and financial performance.
  • Continually seek and implement creative ways to improve care for our patient population.
  • Collaborate with practice operations leadership to implement workflow enhancements, operational initiatives, and departmental projects.
  • Develop, maintain, and update workflow documentation, policies, procedures, job aids, and training materials, ensuring practice is in compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements at all times.
  • Work closely with Parkside OB-GYN’s Director of Operations, Clinical Operations Manager, and Partners to ensure the business operations team’s performance is highly efficient and working in unison with administrative colleagues across Parkside Medical Group and Prisma Health.
  • Assist with operational reporting, data collection, performance tracking, and workflow monitoring as assigned.
  • Assist in preparing and managing the business operations budget, ensuring alignment with financial goals.
  • Address and resolve patient concerns with professionalism and care
  • Participate in departmental meetings, organizational trainings, and professional development opportunities.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
Required Education & Certifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Management, Business Management, or related field preferred.
Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in healthcare administration, patient access, front-end revenue cycle, business operations, medical office operations, or a related field.
  • Minimum one (1) year supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and electronic medical records. Epic proficiency preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills with internal and external clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple priorities and work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and customer service skills.
  • Relevant combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of stated requirements.
