Job summary

City of New Smyrna Beach is seeking a Parks Technician II to maintain and operate equipment for parks, athletic fields and recreational facilities. The role includes grounds maintenance, landscaping, irrigation work and routine equipment servicing.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 2 years of related experience, and a valid Florida Driver's License. This is an hourly, full-time role based at 124 Industrial Park Ave in NSB, FL.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related park maintenance/grounds experience, or equivalent combination of education and training.
• Experience operating park maintenance equipment and performing grounds upkeep.
• Valid Florida Driver's License is required.

About The Job

The Parks Technician II performs work involving operating moderately complex maintenance and landscaping equipment in support of the City’s parks, athletic fields, and recreational facilities. The position performs grounds maintenance, landscaping, irrigation repair, and facility support activities and conducts routine maintenance and servicing of assigned equipment.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; two (2) years of related experience in park maintenance, landscaping, grounds maintenance, or equipment operation; or any combination of education, training, and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Valid Florida Driver's License
