Galveston County Parks & Cultural Services seeks a seasoned supervisor to oversee the maintenance and operations of the county parks system. You will manage staff, coordinate park maintenance activities, inspect sites, monitor contractors, and ensure safety and compliance with rules.
The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least two years in grounds maintenance, with a valid Texas driver’s license and a pesticide license within six months.
The purpose of this class is to supervise the maintenance and operations of the county parks system.

Requires High School diploma or GED equivalent.
Requires two years of experience in building and/or grounds maintenance or closely related experience.
Physical demands refer to the requirements for physical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement.
Unavoidable hazards refer to the job conditions that may lead to injury or health hazards even though precautions have been taken.
Emergency Preparedness Tier Level: 1
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving history.
Requires Texas Department of Agriculture non-commercial pesticide license within six months of employment.
