Job summary

City of San Luis Obispo is seeking flexible, community-minded individuals to join our team as Parks Maintenance Aide I–II (Downtown/Farmer’s Market Restroom Support). This role supports the weekly Farmer’s Market by transporting, setting up, cleaning, and maintaining portable restroom trailers for public use.

This is a part-time, temporary position, not to exceed 1,000 hours per year, with no benefits, and averages approximately 10 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year custodial experience is highly desirable.
• California class C driver license in possession is required.

Responsibilities

• Transport, deliver, and position restroom trailers at designated locations.
• Set up and break down restroom trailers, including leveling, inspecting, and securing the unit.
• Empty, clean and sanitize trailers, including toilets, sinks, floors, mirrors, and high-touch surfaces.
• Restock supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, soap, hand sanitizer, and other amenities.
• Report equipment malfunctions, damage, or repair needs to supervisors or maintenance staff.
• Inspect trailers for cleanliness, safety, and proper operation before, during, and after use.
