The City of San Luis Obispo seeks flexible, community‑minded individuals to join our team as Parks Maintenance Aide I–II (Downtown/Farmer’s Market Restroom Support) within the Public Works Branch of the Public Works and Utilities Department.

This part‑time, temporary position supports the weekly Farmer’s Market by transporting, setting up, cleaning, and maintaining restroom trailers; duties include towing, leveling, restocking supplies, and reporting repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year custodial experience desirable.
• Valid California class C driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine grounds maintenance such as mowing, trimming, raking, and litter removal.
• Operate and maintain hand tools and light equipment safely.
• Transport, set up, and maintain restroom trailers for the Farmer’s Market.
• Inspect trailers for cleanliness and safety; report repairs as needed.
