Job summary

The City of Bartow seeks an intermediate paraprofessional to support park and recreation programs, under regular supervision. You will help manage daily operations, staff scheduling, and customer service in a busy community facility.

Responsibilities include hiring, supervising, budgeting, reporting, coordinating programs and events, and ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations while engaging with the public.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Leisure Services, or related field.
• Two years of related experience in parks, recreation, or an equivalent role.
• Master’s degree can substitute one year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise, schedule and evaluate staff.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and standards.
• Coordinate marketing, reports, budgets, and procurement.
• Develop and implement park and program activities; monitor safety.
• Respond to inquiries and coordinate facility use and events.
