Job summary

The City of Brentwood is seeking an Accountant I to support financial operations for the Parks & Recreation Department. You will develop budgets, track costs, and manage payments while ensuring accurate financial reporting for parks, services, and capital projects.

The role includes LLAD coordination, reporting, and compliance, serving as a liaison with LLAD consultants. A bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance and at least one year of professional accounting experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or related field.
• One year of professional accounting experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor department budgets.
• Track costs for programs and facilities.
• Process contracts and vendor payments.
• Prepare financial reports for recreational services, parks, and capital projects.
• Coordinate LLAD financial records and reporting.
• Support LLAD annual budget preparation and compliance.
