Job summary

The City of Brooksville is seeking a part-time Parks Maintenance Assistant to help maintain city parks and facilities. You will perform cleaning, setup for events, assist with rentals, and provide friendly service to residents. This role involves some night, weekend, and holiday work and may require emergency response during severe weather.

Starting pay is $16.56 per hour. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of park maintenance or customer service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• At least 1 year of park maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with park management or work order systems preferred.
• OSHA or equivalent safety training desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct park patrols and inspections to ensure public safety.
• Prepare park facilities for programs and events and manage supplies.
• Assist with rental contracts and room set-ups.
• Perform opening and closing procedures at park locations.
• Collect and dispose of trash and debris on City Park property.
• Assist with athletic field preparation and maintenance.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and facilities.
• Communicate park rules and assist park visitors.
