Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Availability for occasional overtime, weekend, and evening hours.
• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Work indoors and outdoors as weather permits.
• Exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vibrations, and temperature changes.

Responsibilities

• Perform general cleaning and maintenance duties across the facility, including restrooms, appliances, and windows.
• Collect and dispose of trash, recycling, and litter throughout the premises.
• Assist in setting up, maintaining, and breaking down event setups.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning.
• Help with cleaning, buffing, and shampooing floors and carpets.
• Support grounds maintenance tasks, including mowing lawns, pruning, and trimming trees and plants.
• Follow all safety guidelines and departmental procedures while performing tasks.
• Collaborate effectively with team members or work independently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive or private information.
• Communicate respectfully and effectively with both staff and guests.
• Operate job-related equipment such as computers, telephones, and various software programs.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Parks and Recreation Director or their designee.
