Parks Operator II
  • Mows grass, cuts and sprays weeds on county property.
  • Repairs and replaces park signs and park equipment.
  • Performs minor repairs to park vehicles.
  • Operates heavy equipment as needed.
  • Drives bus to and from special events to transport participants.
  • Repairs and replaces park fencing and performs concrete work.
  • Held financially responsible for equipment used and uniforms issued.
  • Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 2 years job related experience.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions; general working knowledge of and ability to operate required equipment. Good verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with others. Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.

SALARY RANGE: $16.02 Min-$24.03-Max/ per hour

CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
