Job summary

City of Anna, Texas is seeking a Parks Maintenance Worker II to support routine maintenance, repair, and construction of facilities and landscaping in assigned areas.

Under regular supervision, this advanced level role follows established procedures and may act as lead in the supervisor's absence. Requires two years in parks maintenance plus relevant certifications and a valid Class C license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 2 years experience in parks maintenance, landscaping, or construction.
• Basic Word Processing/Typing required. CPR, AED and First Aid certified.
• Must be a certified Pool Operator.
• Must possess a valid Class C driver license at hire.
• Pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and MVR check required.

Responsibilities

• Aid routine maintenance, repair, and construction of facilities and landscaping for assigned areas.
• Follow routine procedures and guidelines in performing duties under supervision.
• May act as lead person in the absence of the Parks Maintenance Supervisor.

DESCRIPTION

Under regular supervision, the Parks Maintenance Worker II is responsible for aiding routine maintenance, repair, and construction of facilities and landscaping for assigned areas. This is the advanced-level classification in the Park Maintenance Worker series. The incumbent follows routine procedures and guidelines in the application of prescribed duties and works under regular supervision. The Parks Maintenance Worker II may act as lead person in the absence of the Parks Maintenance Supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school or GED, plus 2 years previous experience in parks maintenance, landscaping, or construction is required.
• Basic: Word Processing/Typing is required. Must be CPR, AED and First Aid certified.
• Must be a certified Pool Operator.
• Must possess a valid Class "C" license when hired.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and MVR check.
