An established industry player is seeking a dedicated maintenance worker to ensure the upkeep of parks and recreational facilities. This role involves a variety of tasks, from setting up stages for events to maintaining sports fields and playground equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of park maintenance techniques and the ability to operate various hand and power tools. Completion of specialized training in the occupational field, along with basic skills typically associated with a high school education. Sufficient experience, such as an apprenticeship or similar position for 1-2 years, to understand the principles relevant to the duties. Possession or ability to obtain a valid Georgia driver’s license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Work involves sitting, standing, bending, crouching, walking, or stooping intermittently. Occasionally lifting objects, climbing ladders, using tools or equipment requiring dexterity, and distinguishing shades of color. Specific physical abilities include balancing, crouching, feeling, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, manual dexterity, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity, and walking.
The work environment is throughout the facility, with exposure to noise, dust, dirt, grease, machinery, chemicals, and outdoor weather conditions.
