The City of South Padre Island seeks a Parks Maintenance Technician to perform semi-skilled maintenance on parks equipment, landscaping and irrigation systems, and to operate a range of machinery as needed. You will inspect and repair playgrounds and restrooms, mow, paint and perform preventive maintenance, drive trucks, and work safely with crews.
A high school diploma, three years of related experience, and a valid Texas driver's license are required; bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

Dump truck, pickup truck, utility truck, tamper, plate compactor, saws, pumps, propane kettle, compressors, sanders, generators, common hand and power tools, push and riding mowers, shovels, wrenches, detection devices, mobile radio, telephone, and ditch witch.
