Job summary

The City of Belton is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform general maintenance, repairs, and installations at City parks, medians, and municipal facilities. Duties include caring for athletic fields, landscaping, and playground components, with both indoor and outdoor tasks under Parks and Recreation.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of parks maintenance experience; a valid Texas driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of Parks maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver’s License required; higher classification may be needed after employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain athletic fields, level ground, and monitor safety hazards.
• Maintain parks, landscaping, medians, and municipal facilities; remove debris and water grounds.
• Assist in setting up and finishing concrete; paint and repair park facilities and equipment.
• Inspect and maintain equipment; follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• May assist in special events and be on-call evenings or weekends.
