Job summary

The Parks Maintenance Worker position with El Paso County involves day-to-day general maintenance across county parks, golf course areas, and surroundings. You will perform routine upkeep, operate mowers and irrigation systems, and support public-facing services while following safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school graduation, or its equivalent, plus at least one year experience in the field of grounds and turf maintenance, or a related field.
• Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and facilities.
• Mow, irrigate, fertilize, and plant trees and shrubs.
• Maintain and repair irrigation systems and water pumps.
• Assist with events preparation and maintain cleanliness of restrooms and shop area.
