Job summary

City of Plantation is seeking a supervisory maintenance lead to manage diverse manual tasks across municipal buildings and park facilities. You will oversee skilled and unskilled crews, plan work orders, arrange tools, and ensure safety compliance.

The role emphasizes coordination, scheduling, and adherence to city policies, with a focus on hurricane plan execution and reliable operations across parks and recreation properties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years experience in horticulture, landscape, grounds, and/or parks.
• Ability to supervise skilled and unskilled personnel.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and participates in field maintenance and custodial duties.
• Plans work, assigns personnel, and secures tools and supplies.
• Prepares daily worklists and weekly schedules.
• Executes purchase orders as directed by department director.
• Enforces safety procedures across projects.
• Supervises sprinkler system installation and maintenance.
• Performs repairs and updates to park facilities and buildings.
• Oversees landscaping and grounds maintenance across city properties.
