A Parks Laborer with experience in landscaping and grounds keeping. This position will help maintain the beautiful parks across the City. The ideal candidate will enjoy working outdoors and be capable of operating various tools and equipment.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Texas Driver's License

• 1 year of experience in landscaping and grounds keeping work
• High School Diploma or GED

Position Overview

Under close supervision, performs unskilled and semi-skilled general labor work in cleaning and maintenance of City parks and grounds.

Essential Duties

• Performs manual labor tasks to maintain a safe and attractive park system; maintains park facilities and grounds, enforces rules and regulations, and follows all safety protocols. Duties may vary according to job assignment.
• Operates basic equipment and performs tasks such as weed control, mowing, watering, trash cleanup, pruning, and hauling materials.
• Maintains tools and equipment; reports unsafe conditions; performs emergency cleaning and maintenance as directed.
