The role involves grounds maintenance, custodial, and landscaping duties, along with light facility maintenance to keep parks safe, clean, and well‑maintained. Starting wage is $19/hour with a Fort Walton Beach location schedule of Monday–Friday 6 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred.
• Facility maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License with clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain grounds through mowing, weeding, pruning, and pest control; repair irrigation systems.
• Operate lawn care tools and equipment (mowers, weed eaters, blowers, hedgers).
• Perform light facility maintenance, including bulbs, HVAC filters, and basic plumbing.
• Prepare areas for sodding and address safety hazards such as holes or loose turf.
• Perform routine equipment checks and minor repairs; report major issues to supervisor.
