Job summary

Citrus County Government is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Worker to support the upkeep of county parks, green spaces, and public outdoor areas. The role involves fieldwork, mowing, watering, litter control, and basic repairs, with a schedule typically Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, and possible evening/weekend shifts as needed.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least six months of related experience, with preferred turf grass or grounds maintenance coursework.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six (6) months of groundskeeping/parks maintenance or related experience required.
• Courses in turf grass or grounds maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and beautify parks, green spaces, and athletic fields.
• Mow, trim, edge, and weed turf and landscapes.
• Fertilize lawn and landscaping; maintain logs of products used.
