Job summary

The City of Port St. Lucie is seeking Parks Maintenance Worker I–III to perform semi-skilled grounds maintenance across city parks and facilities. Work includes mowing, irrigation, painting, and field preparation, with duties increasing by level.

All candidates must pass a DOT physical and a drug screening. The role is essential and requires availability during emergencies, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required for all levels.
• Experience in grounds maintenance and equipment operation preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and appropriate certifications may be required for II/III.

Responsibilities

• Mow, weed, till, rake, dig and perform manual labor in parks and facilities.
• Prepare fields and grounds for athletic activities; maintain equipment and facilities.
• Educate the public on park rules and ensure safety during events.
