Job summary

The Village of Wellington is seeking applicants for entry-level Custodial Services work in the Grounds and Facilities team. You will perform a variety of maintenance tasks, assist with cleaning, and support events and programs under general supervision.

Minimum qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and the willingness to obtain FEMA certifications within 12 months. A valid Florida driver’s license is required to operate village vehicles.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment operation.
• Ability to communicate verbally with residents, coworkers, and vendors.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and work with others.
• Ability to understand and respond in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance duties such as custodial maintenance and building upkeep.
• Assists with routine facility cleaning including restrooms and common areas.
• Sets up and breaks down rooms and equipment for programs and events.
• Performs basic inspections and reports damages or safety issues to supervisors.
• Operates light to medium equipment like mowers and leaf blowers safely.
• Supports staff during events and facility operations.
