Job summary

The City of Lemoore is seeking a skilled maintenance worker to perform grounds and custodial duties across parks, streets, and City properties. Responsibilities include operating a range of tools and equipment, maintaining facilities, and supporting events with setup and cleanup.

Applicants should have at least six months of experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license with CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• At least six months of work experience.
• Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid driver’s license.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, CPR certificate.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, First Aid certificate.
• Knowledge of grounds and janitorial maintenance methods and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain parks, playground equipment and restrooms; repair sprinklers and broken lines; use riding lawnmower, weed eater, edger and other groundskeeping tools and equipment.
• Maintain City buildings and properties; provide janitorial services; empty and clean trash receptacles; dust, clean and refinish furniture; disinfect and clean bathroom areas; vacuum, sweep, scrub, seal, wax, buff and mop floors; clean windows.
• Set up rooms for meetings and events; clean up after meetings and events.
• Maintain inventory for all City buildings.
• Plant, prune and trim trees and shrubs; maintain flower beds including weeding and fertilizing; spray pesticides and other chemicals as needed.
• May be required to work any shift, including weekends, evenings, and holidays; may be subject to call outs after hours and weekends.
