Job summary

The City of Springfield (MO) Parks Department is seeking a Craftsworker to perform skilled and semi-skilled craftswork in construction, maintenance, and repair of parks and facilities. This role covers golf courses, fitness centers, pools, Cooper Tennis Complex, and more.

Candidates should have knowledge in equipment maintenance, pool cleaning, water management, safety/compliance, record keeping, and repairs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years responsible experience in construction or maintenance craftswork; one year at skilled level in concrete, welding, carpentry, plumbing, electrical or mechanical.
• Experience must be commensurate with craft specialty required for current vacancy.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled and semi-skilled craftswork in construction, maintenance, and repair of city and county parks and facilities.
• Support equipment maintenance, pool cleaning and water management, safety and regulatory compliance, record keeping, troubleshooting and repairs.
