Job summary

City of Hallandale Beach seeks a Parking Administrative Specialist to support the Police Department with technical and complex administrative duties, database maintenance, and reporting. You will assist residents and manage parking-related programs and fee processing.

Must have a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years parking experience, Florida certification as Traffic Infraction Enforcement Officer within 90 days, and NIMS certification within one year, plus a valid Florida driver’s license.

Assist our customers with technical problems when parking within the City of Hallandale Beach.

Performs technical and complex administrative support duties for the City of Hallandale Beach Police Department; maintains specialized databases and reporting systems; oversees parking citation fee collection and processing and parking permit programs; provides resources and information and resolves issues for residents. Assist our customers with technical problems when parking within the City of Hallandale Beach.

High School Diploma or GED. Two (2) or more years’ related to municipal or private parking experience or an equivalent combination of education, certification, training and/or experience.

Must be able to attain state of Florida required certification for a Traffic Infraction Enforcement Officer within ninety (90) days of employment. Must have or be able to obtain National Incident Management System (NIMS) certification (levels to be determined by job classification requirements) within one (1) year of employment. Must have valid Florida driver’s license.

In addition to meeting the minimum qualifications listed above, an individual must be able to perform each of the established essential functions in order to perform this job successfully.
