City of Hollywood, FL is seeking a Parking Enforcement Specialist who will patrol assigned areas to enforce parking regulations and issue citations. The role requires immediate possession of a Parking Enforcement Specialist certification, along with a high school diploma or GED and relevant public-facing experience.
The position involves working 32 hours weekly in shifts that span 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 2:00 PM to 2:00 AM, with exact hours after training.
Applicants MUST have this certification at the time of application. This minimum requirement cannot be waived.
It will be 8 hour shifts, 4 days a week (Total of 32 hours a week).
Flexibility is a MUST since shifts can range from anywhere between 7:00AM and 3:30PM to 2:00PM and 2:00AM.
Exact shift will be provided after training is completed.

This is routine work in the enforcement of parking regulations. Employees in this class are responsible for the patrol of assigned geographical areas on foot or by of motor vehicle to inspect vehicle parking and issue citations as necessary. Work may be performed during adverse weather conditions. General supervision is provided through observation of work in progress and review of citations issued. Employees in this class are responsible for safe guarding property and patrons at City owned parking facilities. Incumbent will write parking citations for all parking violations stated within Chapter 72 of the Code.
The assigned work days and hours for this position will vary to include nights, weekends and holidays.
