Job summary

MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas seeks Security Officers for Parking & Perimeter Operations to ensure guest and employee safety while delivering outstanding service. You will patrol, monitor alarms, respond to emergencies, and document incidents.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of security experience, a valid Nevada driver's license, and strong communication skills to engage with guests and teammates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of Security Officer experience preferred.
• Valid Nevada Driver’s License.

THE JOB:

The Security Officers of Parking & Perimeter Operations is responsible for providing Excellent Guest Service including, but not limited to, ensuring the safety of employees and guests and patrolling assigned properties. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental policies, practices and procedures.

THE STARTING RATE:

$21.50 Hourly

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Patrol and monitor all areas of the assigned areas on foot or by operating a bicycle or company vehicle
• Provide excellent guest service to guests and employees
• Act as a First Responder in emergency situations
• Resolves complaints and issues involving both guests and employees
• Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as property damage, theft, guest or employee accidents, or unusual occurrences
• Monitor alarm system and surveillance cameras
• Relay information, messages and/or emergencies to or from appropriate personnel using telephones or two-way radios
• Conduct specialty training on, but not limited to, defensive tactics, CPR/AED, etc.
• Act as a Field Training Officer

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

• Must be 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• One (1) year of previous Security Officer experience, preferably in a similar resort setting
• Valid Nevada Driver’s License required
• Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Ability to learn, demonstrate proficiency and effectively use defensive tactics and report writing skills
