Diamond Parking is seeking a Parking Lot Checker to travel to multiple Olympia-area lots, ensuring payments, permits, and proper signage are upheld. The role requires accuracy, reliability, and adherence to cash-handling procedures.

The position is in-person at assigned lots with potential after-hours or weekend work. A high school diploma or GED is required, and a valid driver’s license with insurance is necessary for local travel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED. One to three months of related experience or training preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, memos, and correspondence. Able to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Basic mathematical skills required for handling and reconciling currency.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurance. Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally to multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, professional interactions with customers, vendors, co-workers, and managers.
• Accurately inventory pay boxes, collect and secure funds and equivalents, and deposit in designated bank based on protocol.
• Check lot for valid payments/permits and issue parking violation or “parking owed” notices when applicable. Patrol for theft prevention.
• Clear trash/debris from stations, inspect signage/rates, and report hazards such as potholes or broken signs.
• May perform data entry using electronic devices. Complete incident reports and submit accurate documentation for each shift.
