Note: THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON BID AWARD.

The Parking and Lot Attendant will perform daily activities in a parking garage/lot, including checking vehicles in and out following policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities

1. Assist with stacked parking when self-parking spaces in the Southwest Garage are full, typically between 9 am and 10 am.
2. Monitor parking capacity and display appropriate signs (directional and advisory) to guide motorists to available parking.
3. Ensure access to vehicles for FDA employees and contractors, with an average wait time of 5 minutes upon notification.
4. Securely store vehicle keys, especially when vehicles block access to others, and ensure vehicles are locked.
5. Handle access information or proximity keys for keyless ignition vehicles appropriately.
6. Verify vehicle owner identity via claim check or similar method before releasing keys.
7. Retrieve keys after hours for drivers who haven't collected them before parking lot closing.
8. Implement and maintain parking signage, including lot number and availability indicators for campus parking facilities.
9. Display signage at parking booths, including booth number and FDA's contact information for customer comments.
10. Inspect parking areas for hazards regularly.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Physical Demands

The physical requirements include walking, standing, sitting, talking, hearing, and the use of hands and arms. Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 25 pounds are required. Vision abilities include close vision.
