The Boston Symphony Orchestra is seeking Parking Attendants for Tanglewood, MA, to guide patrons to parking spots, assist with traffic flow, and provide directions while working outdoors during the summer.

The role requires standing and walking for extended periods, willingness to work days, nights and weekends, and exposure to all weather conditions. A professional presence and clear directions to patrons are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 15 years of age.
• Must be able to work days, nights and weekends throughout the summer.
• Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
• A firm professional presence with the demonstrated ability to provide clear, effective direction to patrons
• Position requires standing and walking for several hours at a time.
• Work is immediate through mid-September.
• Appropriate attire required.

About the Role

Parking Attendants guide patrons to parking spaces, assist with post-event traffic flow, and provide directions while working flexible summer hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Job Responsibilities

• Direct arriving patrons to available parking spaces prior to and during events.
• Assist with post-event vehicle egress from Tanglewood parking lots in accordance with Tanglewood facilities practices and protocols.
• Provide assistance to patrons in need of directions to the concert venue.

Required Education and Experience Requirements

Must be at least 15 years of age.

Required to work days, nights and weekends throughout the summer.

The Boston Symphony Orchestra gave its inaugural concert on October 22, 1881, and has continued to uphold the vision of its founder, the businessman, philanthropist, Civil War veteran, and amateur musician Henry Lee Higginson, for well over a century.
