Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking entry-level team members to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks across services, store operations, and customer service. Team members enjoy interaction with customers and a focus on going above and beyond in service.

You will support carts, trash collection, cleaning, and collaboration with multiple store departments to ensure smooth daily operations and a positive shopping experience.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product.

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store into the store.
• Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside store.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment to clear snow.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Assist service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Collaborate with departments like Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.

As an entry-level team member, you will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of retail tasks related to additional services provided by our store, product and customer service. What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
