Job summary

The General Services Department is seeking a seasoned supervisor to oversee parking enforcement and meter repair/collection operations within the Parking Division. You will coordinate activities with other divisions, outside agencies, and the public, while providing high-level staff assistance to the Parking Division Manager.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in criminal justice or related field, plus five years' experience.
• Minimum one year of supervisory or lead experience.
• Experience in parking operations, code enforcement or public relations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate organization, staffing and operational activities for assigned enforcement, operations and special event parking.
• Develop and implement goals, objectives, policies, and priorities; update procedures.
• Monitor activities for policy compliance; identify improvements and resource needs.
• Plan and supervise parking enforcement staff; evaluate work products and resolve problems.
• Plan and supervise parking meter repairer/collector staff; maintain meters and pay stations.
• Respond to incidents; enforce ordinances; issue citations; handle boots.
• Supervise use of city property and vehicles; schedule maintenance.
• Maintain records and assist in reports; coordinate with organizations.
• Participate in staff selection and training; address deficiencies; apply disciplinary procedures.
