Job description

This is administrative work involving the enforcement of parking restrictions in public parking lots and other areas of the City. Enforces parking regulations; special assignments including transportation of items during duty hours. Agent wears uniform prescribed by the Chief and furnished by the City.

One (1) position is available

Hours

Part-time, 7.5 hours per week, Friday & Saturday, 1:30 AM - 5:15 AM

Starting Hourly Rate

$24.5799

Essential Job Functions
  1. Patrols assigned areas of the City to enforce parking regulations.
  2. Issues tickets for applicable violations of City parking regulations.
  3. Marks tires of vehicles parked in unmetered timed parking zones, records the time and returns at specified intervals to ticket vehicles remaining in spaces illegally.
  4. Performs routine maintenance on City vehicles and equipment.
  5. Directs traffic as required for special events.
Knowledge of
  • City of Waukesha street layout and applicable police department policies and procedures.
  • City parking ordinances.
  • Basic vehicle maintenance.
  • Business English (grammar, punctuation, spelling, format and tone).
  • The use of computers and standard office equipment.
  • Operational hazards and means of taking precautionary measures to avoid.
