Metro One Services, part of the Metro-Valet family, is hiring a Parking Enforcement Agent in Chicago. The role enforces local ordinances, issues citations, and supports customers with parking needs. Strong attendance, independence, and a Never Give Up attitude are valued.

Qualifications

  • 6+ months of outdoor work experience.
  • 6+ months of customer service experience.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task.
  • Strong English reading/writing skills.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor on-street parking meters and identify violations.
  • Issue City/Municipality approved parking citations.
  • Upload data via handheld device and access current information daily.
  • Screen for parking placards and special permits as needed.
  • Resolve customer complaints per policies and procedures.

Parking Enforcement Agent

You will lead with a "Never Give Up" attitude and provide operational support through upholding and enforcing the local parking ordinances while assisting customers with parking needs. The Parking Enforcement Agent will accurately key vehicle license plates utilizing a Hand-Held Ticket Issuance System to issue parking citations. Various full-time shifts are available.

PAY AND BENEFITS

  • $19.85 per hour (Approximately $40,000 annually)
  • Paid Health & Welfare benefit - employer paid at $1,769.39/month
  • Paid Holidays - unworked paid at a straight time; worked paid at 1.5x (time and one half)
  • Paid Legal and Educational Assistance - employer paid $181.97/month
  • Paid Vacation - 5- 20 days annually, based on seniority

DAILY RESPONSIBILIITES
  • Monitor on-street parking meters for vehicles in violation of parking ordinances by following an assigned route
  • Issue City/Municipality approved parking citations for vehicles in violation of ordinances in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Upload hand-held computer to obtain current information required for work on a daily basis
  • Screen for parking placards and permits for special privileges within approved areas
  • Resolve customer complaints in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Maintain and care for all company issued equipment
  • Assist with any special assignments and projects as requested
  • Other related duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE YOU BRING
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language
  • A minimum of 6 months of Outdoor work experience
  • A minimum of 6 months of Customer Service experience
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task along with ability to show a sense of urgency and timeliness
  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices
  • General knowledge of streets and directions

HIRING SCREENING REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • A valid State of Illinois driver’s license is required - Min 2 yr of driving privilages
  • Successfully complete a fingerprint-based criminal history record check (CHRC)
  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records Background
  • Must pass drug screening
  • Must be a US citizen or a Permanent Resident
